Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 30, 2026 · Last updated: August 30, 2026
EndLuck LLC (“EndLuck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides career-preparation tools, educational resources, and related services through EndLuck.jobs and associated products (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we may collect, how we use that information, when it may be disclosed, and the choices and rights that may be available to you.
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information You Provide
Depending on how you use EndLuck, you may provide information including:
Account Information
EndLuck uses AWS Cognito to manage accounts. This may include information such as your name, email address, authentication credentials, account preferences, and other information associated with your account.
Resume and Career Information
If you use resume-analysis or career-preparation functionality, you may provide information such as:
- resumes (including uploaded PDF files);
- work history;
- education;
- skills;
- certifications;
- projects;
- accomplishments;
- target roles;
- job descriptions;
- career preferences; and
- other information you choose to submit for analysis.
Communications
If you communicate with EndLuck, we may receive information contained in your message and any additional information you choose to provide.
Payment Information
If you purchase EndLuck Services, transactions are processed by Stripe. Depending on the implementation, EndLuck may receive transaction-related information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, and billing status. EndLuck does not directly store complete payment-card numbers.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you use EndLuck, certain technical and usage information may be collected automatically. Depending on the technologies enabled, this may include:
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- IP address;
- approximate timestamps;
- pages or features viewed;
- interactions with buttons or functionality;
- security information; and
- application errors and performance information.
EndLuck may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies where reasonably necessary for authentication, account functionality, security, preferences, and application operation. EndLuck also uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage — such as which pages are viewed and which buttons are used — across endluck.jobs and app.endluck.jobs. Google Analytics does not receive resume content, job description content, coaching notes, or payment details from EndLuck. Depending on your location, analytics may not run until you choose to allow it. You can review or change your analytics preference at any time using “Privacy Choices” in the footer.
3. How We Use Information
EndLuck may use information to:
- provide and operate the Services;
- authenticate users via AWS Cognito;
- manage accounts;
- process resumes and career information;
- generate resume feedback;
- provide application-readiness information;
- identify strengths and areas that may need improvement;
- compare user-provided career information with role or job information where such functionality is available;
- generate recommendations and action plans;
- save user history where that functionality exists;
- process transactions through Stripe;
- respond to support requests;
- improve product usability and reliability;
- diagnose technical problems;
- prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- enforce our Terms of Use.
4. AI and Automated Analysis
Certain EndLuck features use artificial intelligence and automated analysis, including large language models provided by OpenAI. These systems process information you provide in order to generate structured career-preparation feedback.
When you use AI-assisted functionality, your resume content and any job description you provide may be transmitted to OpenAI as part of generating analysis results. Resume import sends PDF and DOCX files to OpenAI to extract resume data; TXT files and pasted resumes are sent as text. This transmission is subject to OpenAI’s applicable service agreements, data-use policies, and configurations.
Automated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate for a particular person’s circumstances. Users should review generated outputs before relying on them.
Your Odds / Application Readiness is a career-preparation signal. It does not represent the probability of receiving an interview, receiving a job offer, or being hired. It is not an industry-standard resume grade and does not guarantee any employment outcome.
EndLuck does not represent that automated feedback is equivalent to advice from a recruiter, hiring manager, attorney, career counselor, or other professional adviser.
5. Your Resume and Other User Content
You retain ownership of resumes and other original content you submit to EndLuck.
Imported resume records are stored in EndLuck’s database, scoped to your account. Direct resume-builder imports do not save the original uploaded file in AWS S3. Features that use S3 store their supporting analysis data there. EndLuck processes that content as reasonably necessary to provide requested functionality, operate the Services, maintain functionality you request, secure the Services, diagnose technical problems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
You should only provide information that you have the right to submit. Unless specifically necessary for the Service, you should generally avoid submitting highly sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial-account numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or confidential information belonging to another person.
6. How We Share Information
EndLuck may share or disclose information with service providers that help operate the Services. These currently include:
- AWS — cloud hosting, S3 storage, and authentication infrastructure (Cognito);
- OpenAI — AI-assisted resume analysis;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Google — calendar and conferencing for coaching sessions where applicable.
EndLuck may also disclose information when required by applicable law or legal process; to investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; to protect the rights or safety of EndLuck, users, or others; in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction; or when directed by the user.
7. Sale of Personal Information
EndLuck does not currently operate a business model based on selling users’ resumes or personal information for money. If EndLuck’s practices materially change in a way that triggers additional rights or disclosures under applicable privacy laws, this Privacy Policy will be updated and required controls will be provided.
8. Data Retention
EndLuck retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes such as providing the Services, maintaining user accounts, preserving requested history, security, fraud prevention, compliance with legal or accounting requirements, dispute resolution, and enforcement of applicable agreements.
Where deletion functionality is available, deleting content may remove it from active user-facing systems. Limited copies may temporarily remain in backups, logs, security records, or records EndLuck is legally required to retain.
9. Security
EndLuck uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, online service, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain information regarding data use. Privacy rights differ by jurisdiction and may be subject to exceptions. EndLuck may need to verify a requester’s identity before completing certain requests. Where account-level management or deletion controls are available directly through EndLuck, users may use those controls.
11. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws, which may include rights involving access, correction, deletion, portability, and choices regarding certain processing activities. EndLuck will honor applicable legal rights where required and will not unlawfully discriminate against users for exercising legally protected privacy rights.
12. International Users
EndLuck is operated from the United States. If you use EndLuck from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where EndLuck’s service providers operate. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country. Where applicable law requires additional safeguards for international transfers, EndLuck will implement legally required measures.
13. Children’s Privacy
EndLuck’s account-based Services are intended for individuals age 18 or older. EndLuck does not knowingly provide account-based Services to children. If EndLuck learns that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, reasonable steps will be taken to delete that information.
14. Third-Party Links and Services
EndLuck may link to employers, job postings, third-party websites, third-party products, or other resources. EndLuck does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their privacy practices, security, content, availability, or terms. Users should review applicable third-party policies independently.
15. Business Transfers
If EndLuck is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
EndLuck may update this Privacy Policy as the Services evolve. When the Policy is materially changed, EndLuck will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
17. Contact Us
Questions, concerns, or privacy requests may be directed to EndLuck using the contact information available through the EndLuck Contact page.
